Thank you for joining us as we continue to rejoice in our French heritage and our centuries-old Mardi Gras traditions. We are grateful to all of you, both repeat guests and first-timers, who tonight are helping us to further our charitable mission here in the Atlanta area.

Tonight we celebrate water – the origin of life itself and the source of powerful civilizations throughout the eons of time. From the Mighty Mississippi, responsible for our beloved Louisiana delta, to the distant rivers in Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America, rivers have caused cultures to thrive or to perish, just as the ebb and flow of the water itself has been a constant in the lives of humankind.

We depart on our journey this evening sailing on the Mississippi. We then travel to the Nile and Euphrates rivers, considered the source of much of western civilization's knowledge and customs today. From there, we visit the royalty along Europe's Danube River, as well as the mystical lands of China and India. And of course, we cannot forget one of the most powerful rivers of the world, the Amazon, which is surrounded by incredible beauty and cloaked in intense mystery.

Our celebration of Old Man River was a wonderful experience, perhaps the most colorful and exciting ever!
