As we have done in the past, our tableau tonight will take you on a magical journey to our beloved Louisiana. We will travel along Highway 90 from New Orleans to the heart of Cajun Country around Lafayette, stopping along the way to visit friends and family and to share in the joyful celebrations of Louisiana’s natural gifts.

To compensate for its often hostile environment, nature pro- vided varied and plentiful offerings from which the natives and settlers lived and frequently thrived. The people rejoiced in this bounty, and celebrated as hard as they had worked in thanks for their sustenance and livelihoods. Through delicious food,

warm friendships, and wonderful music in all genres, celebrate with us tonight as we return home to enjoy these celebrations:

The Louisiana Petroleum Festival
The Shrimp Festival & Blessing of the Fleet
The Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival
The Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival
The International Rice Festival
The Louisiana Yambilee
